Only what you give us. Your email and password (hashed with bcrypt — never stored in plain text). The moments you capture inside the app: text, structured emotion tags, and any patterns you name for yourself.
We do not track you around the internet. No third-party ad networks, no behavioural fingerprinting, no session recording, no analytics that identify individuals. We do not sell your data. Ever. There is no line of code in this application that does that.
Your reflections stay yours. Our AI (the Perspective Intelligence Engine) reads them only to surface soft observations back to you — never to score you, market to you, or build a marketable profile of you. Every LLM call runs through a voice-discipline filter that strips clinical, diagnostic, or directive language before anything is shown.
When we send you a weekly “What Became Visible” letter (opt-in), it contains one observation drawn from your own words. We never share those observations with anyone.
Nobody, except in the narrow technical sense: our infrastructure providers (MongoDB Atlas for storage, Anthropic/OpenAI as sub-processors when the AI reads a reflection to respond to it, Resend when you receive an email). Each is bound by their own contractual privacy terms. None of them see your reflections in any browsable form.
We are not a crisis service. If you are in acute danger, please contact your local emergency line or a crisis service such as 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). The Lifeline feature in this app is a self-directed grounding tool, not a substitute for human care.
You can export or delete your entire history at any time from Settings. Deletion is real and irreversible — the moments, the observations, the ledger rows, all of it. We honour deletion requests within 30 days for backups.
This app is not directed to children under 16. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 16 without verified parental consent, we will delete it.
